Hair Stylist for Play “Real Mean Pray”For nearly a decade in the hair industry, d’Wayne LonZo has catered to the fashion and beauty needs of women. As a platform artist, freelance makeup artist, hair stylist and fashion designer, he offers an array of services including skillful hair styling, makeovers, educational seminars, salon consultations and innovative fashion designs.
Along with being in demand at his current locality, Executive Salon, a well-respected, family-owned salon in the Chicago area and his position as Technical Educator and Freelance Makeup Artist with L’Oreal USA, d’Wayne took on the call of the industry as a freelance session stylist. In this capacity, he exhibits his job title as a Licensed Cosmetologist Instructor and guides other hair stylists and makeup artists on executing the latest techniques from beginning to end.
His excels as a leader in this field as a direct result of his ability to recognize and identify style from this arena and beyond. Listed among the successful elite in the industry in which he has had the pleasure of working with Floyd Kenyatta (Paul Mitchell’s top stylist), actress Vanessa Williams, Luster Corporation production models, Celebrity Furs featuring Tyson Beckford, Bentley Dealership Fashion week featuring Vivica Fox as well as a host of various B.E.T. Gospel entertainers. d’Wayne’s work is presented in several magazines, television commercials and music videos. Recently his work has been highlighted in Vibe Magazine as well as the 2005 Vibe Awards.
d’Wayne’s makeup skills and clothing line (D’Regali) captures the attention of not only his clients but also local television personalities such as Cheryl Burton and Allison Payne.
As a fashion designer, d’Wayne’s creations have been featured in various benefit fashion shows including, UNICEF, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the Better Boys Foundation. d’Wayne’s fashions have also been showcased in the Chicago Red Hot Fashion Show presented by the Apparel Board of the Merchandise Mart of Chicago.
These accomplishments have given d’Wayne a strong desire to strive for the top. There is no turning back for this on-the-move professional. His plans and actions are keeping him continuously close to the catwalk. Although many high-profile clients have graced his chair, d’Wayne makes certain that everyone feels like they are a priority. He feels that every client should be able to go out on the town with a level of sophistication and cutting edge flair.
